At Fins Ara we deliver a brief, hands-on course for companies and professional teams: elevator companies, care homes, home-care services, hotels, public-facing venues and organisations that need to provide accessibility solutions on stairs on an occasional or recurring basis.
The session focuses on technique, safety and a clear operating protocol, with real practice in the environment where the equipment will be used.

What does the course involve?
This is a short, practical training so the team learns to use a portable stair-climbing chair (portable stairlift) safely and with good judgement, in real working conditions.
The goal is for the team to:
✅ Understand the basic operation and the equipment’s limits.
✅ Apply a simple protocol before/during/after each us.
✅ Practise the manoeuvre in a guided and safe way.
✅ Know how to respond to common questions and incidents.
Course options
We offer one course with two options.

Option 1: Essential training
Ideal if you want to operate safely from day one.
Includes:
● On-site practical session (estimated duration: 2 hours).
● Turn-based practice so everyone can train.
● Safety checklist & operating protocol (PDF + printed).
● Attendance certificate (PDF).
● Post-training support for quick questions (WhatsApp/email) for 15-30 days.
Option 2: Training + clarification visit
For teams that want to consolidate technique with a real-life follow-up.
Includes:
● Everything in Option 1.
● One follow-up clarification visit (45–60 min) within 30 days: technical review + questions + specific cases.
● Review of 1–2 short videos in advance to prepare the visit.

Telephone, instant messaging or email service hours are Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Sundays and holidays we are only available to attend to emergencies related to home services, previously coordinated and scheduled.

We include support for quick questions for 15-30 days (depending on the option). If a question requires an extensive review or an on-site intervention, we propose it as an additional visit (or it can be addressed during Option 2’s clarification visit).
The price depends on the option, location and number of attendees. We’ll send a free quote with the final amount and conditions.
The quote will specify the applicable VAT and conditions (location, number of attendees and option).
The quote includes the training and the stated materials (checklist & protocol and certificate). An extra charge may apply for travel outside the Barcelona area, more attendees than recommended, or if extra time / an additional visit is requested.
To ensure real practice, we recommend a maximum of 6. If you are more, we can propose two shifts or two sessions. We may also consider an extra per additional attendee if quality can be maintained.
Yes. If you need more time due to environment complexity or number of attendees, we can extend the session. The cost will be shown in the quote.
Yes. If you want an extra visit, it can be booked as an additional service and priced according to location.
Once the quote is accepted, we coordinate date and time. Payment can be made by bank transfer or card (or other available methods) as indicated in the proposal.
If you need to reschedule, it’s best to let us know in advance so we can find a new date at no cost. For late cancellations or travel already completed, a fee may apply (we detail this in the quote).
Yes. If you expect several sessions, we can propose an annual package with better conditions. Email or call us and tell us your situation (how many people, where, and how often).
A staircase section to practise on (preferably with low foot traffic during the session) and a safe area to manoeuvre. If you already have the equipment, it should be available and fully charged. If Fins Ara provides the equipment, we will coordinate it in advance.
No. It is not an official regulated certification. It is practical training with a Fins Ara attendance certificate, focused on safe use and an internal team protocol.
